Jason Fitzgerald and Mixson Motorsports Team Finish 11th at Lavoina Heads to Golden Isles Speedway This Weekend

JACKSONVILLE, FL (September 24, 2008)- Jason Fitzgerald and the Mixson Motorsports Team  competing in an O'Reilly Southern All Stars sanctioned event this past weekend at Lavoina Speedway in Lavoina Georgia for a 50-lap $5,000 to win feature event. Jason would move into the top early in the event before suffering a flat tire. After returning to the rear of the field after changing the tire Jason would advance through the field and finished 11th in the final run down "We had a good car we just had some bad luck with the flat tire that put us at the rear. The car was working good and we should have had a top 5 finish but that's racing sometimes", stated Jason

After competing at Lavonia Speedway this past weekend, Jason will travel to Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia this Friday and Saturday for a pair of events. Friday Jason will compete with the Southern All Stars East Series in a $3,000 to win feature event. Then on Saturday Jason will compete at the same track in an O'Reilly Southern All Stars Series sanctioned event in a 50-lpa $5,000 to win feature. Jason is currently in second place in the series points standings and leads the series "Rookie of The Year" category.
